Transport Links
Sussex and Normandy have excellent transport links allowing you to move between France and England with ease. These include:
- TransManche Ferries from Newhaven to Dieppe
- London Gatwick Airport is within Sussex and is only 1 hours flight to destinations throughout France
- Eurotunnel and Dover - Calais ferries are less than 1 hours drive from East Sussex
The Gardens project
Close neighbours who share ancient historical links as well as similar climatic conditions and fertile soils, the regions of Normandy in France and Sussex in the UK boast a phenomenal number of gardens open to the public.
They have combined forces in a two-year European-funded project to promote their garden product and to increase visitor numbers, both local and European, on both sides of the Channel.
